This or That? Vol 1

My first edition of This or That. I plan on comparing items that are alike. Im not a product junky but im all about finding the BEST product that works for YOU! So comparing and trying new things is the best way to do this in my opinion.

Vaseline cocoa and shea butter oil VS. Johnson's Cocoa and shea butter oil

Vaseline: **** out of *****
Cost: $4.79
Smells good, lasts very long. TOO SHINY.

Johnson's *** out of *****
Cost: $3.76
Smells good, doesnt last long. Perfect shine given but only temporarily.

Chobani Greek Yogurt Vs. Oikos Greek Yogurt

Chobani *** out of *****
Cost: $1.00
consistency is not ideal
Oikos ***** out of *****
Cost: $1.20
MY NEW FAVORITE! Great flavor and consistency

Yes to Cucumbers Color Care Shampoo Vs. Shea Moisture Deep Cleansin Shampoo
Yes to Cucumbers
**** out of *****
Cost: $8.97
LOVE THE SMELL, cleans well. Only downside is it doesnt leave hair moisturized as much as I would like and people with locs dont use conditioner so I need a shampoo that leaves hair with a lot of moisture.

Shea Moisture
** out of *****
Cost: $9.99
I will never use this again. Probably more ideal for loose naturals. My boyfriend even hates it. lol. Makes hair super curly, doesnt condition well. Strips hair.

How to Pack a Lunch for a Professional Environment

just an example I think that can guide you in the right direction. Of course you can take a more complicated lunch but I wanted this to be as general as possible.

15-20 almonds and 9 baby carrots

handful of pretzels

100 calorie snack sized bags of popcorn

Pack some green tea every job offers free hot water!

handful of cherriers, grapes, and strawberries

A Letter to all the Black Mothers of all the Black Men Ive ever dated...

Dear Maam,
WHY DID YOU RAISE THAT BOY UP LIKE THAT?! DAMNIT! Emotional retard... ACTUAL RETARD!!!!! O.k. lemme bring it down a notch so you know how serious I truly am.

YOU MAAM, have coddled that young boy... have enabled that young man... have infused thoughts of false grandeur in that young soul. All because you are husbandless.. or because the husband you have isnt the husband you want. Stop raising these men up like golden KINGS to replace that feeling you have that you would share with a partner. ITS SICK! Now your son is out in the world... no longer dating his mommy (EWWWWWWW!) and he has problems coping.

Id like you to know Black Mother if your Black Son complains about every chick he's ever dated... its HIM. Now the women that are to actually date him are left to reboot his brainwashed mind or deal with it. We always talk about the viscous cycle that is the black community and are easy to point the blame at the absent father... what about the demented mother??? Some of you have convinced your sons that them having to pay child support is wrong... REALLY?! HOW CAN YOU AS A WOMAN WHO HAS BORE A CHILD REALLY SAY THAT?! Some of you talk so poorly of all the women including me that your son dates... to your son's face. BUT WHY? Thats the same as your best gal pal blasting your man every time they saw you, if your son is truly "grown" let that man be grown.

Black Mothers you cant raise a black man on your own. He's needs some kind of male role model. So stop passing down your insecurities on that man too. If I meet another black man with women insecurities im going straight to his mother's house (YOUR HOUSE) and im fuckin you up off GP.

And stop lying to these black men about how youve lived your lives. KEEP IT REAL. YALL WERE POOR WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG BECAUSE YOU ARE TRIFE AND WAS RUNNING AFTER A MAN.

PLEASSSSSSE TELL THEM THIS WHEN YOU EXPLAIN WHY YALL WERE POOR GROWING UP. Because the women again who must date him know this without these men having to tell us... but now we have to sit back and listen to how hard their mother's tried and had it. REALLLY?! NO! Im not saying there arent situations but on the whole, no! LET YOUR SON KNOW YOU WERE A HOE, LET YOUR SON KNOW YOU WERE A WEAK WOMAN, LET YOUR SON KNOW YOU WERE TRIFLIN.

You are not doing any service to him having him think you are this perfect creature who life tried to tear down over and over again making you a martyr in his eyes. THATS A DAMN LIE.

You say you want your sons to be happy... to one day find a good woman but you are setting them up to fail at ever achieving any of that which makes me question your motives. Damn shame these men dont see it, often until its too late.

too many damn Baby Boys out here. *kicks rock*

Sincerely pissed off,
Ash
